Disney Channel Is The Devil

5 Mar, 2009  |  Written by Hate Master

I hate the new age of kids. I remember growing up watching toons like “Tom and Jerry” and Scrooge, toons that really taught kids the importance of life: violence and money. Nowadays kids are growing up watching “Hannah Montana”. In my opinion, this is degrading children to becoming soft, bratty chumps that cherish things like make-up and dating at the age of 14. I was watching the tele the other day and read that “Tom and Jerry” was on, I got all sentimental and happy, but once I turned it on, I saw that the cat and mouse duo weren’t beating each other senseless with bats while luring one another to a trap with cheese or cake, but quite the contrary, they were friends. They were goddamn friends. Not only that, but they also spoke. They played, they chatted, they were having a good time. And even the Bulldog was interested in what the duo were discussing. Are you for real? These cartoons are mashing kids’ minds.

Then there’s the new age of Disney shows. Hannah Montana, Cory in the House, and the Suite Life. Jesus, I feel sick just typing those titles in. Kids are watching these shows and they start wanting to be little actors or models and wanting to have these extravagant lifestyles that even adults don’t have. It’s not bad to want shite like that, but they start believing they are older than they really are. They are corrupted into believing that it’s alright to wear make-up and start dating by the time they’re teenagers. Then they start getting into celebrity gossip magazines instead of comic books, and that’s when the real trouble happens. They begin to care what that stupid blonde bitch Jessica Simpson mumbled more than the amount of troops that Bush deployed to serve in Iraq last year. Well, I guess it’s all about how much society consumes, isn’t it? And kids, well kids aren’t making money, but their parents sure are, and what’s the best way to keep your kids happy, sure, keep buying them more useless shite instead of spending time on them. Keep the economy going. But I’m straying away from my point here. I know that everything in the media is intertwined and in the end it’s all about the corporations to be making more money, but what the biggest loss I see taking place is kids are softening up. Instead of wanting to get into brawls in school and getting into sports like Rugby and Soccer, they rather run to their teachers ratting on a cyber bully.

Soon you’ll see little Alice or little Bobby seeing how cool the Olson Twins are and start wanting to get into coke, and that getting your boobs done isn’t a fucking surgery, but a needed accessory to impress a boy in highschool. Fuck me sideways, society is fucked. And I blame the transformation of the Diney Channel. Bring back the good old cartoons: Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Goof Troops, etc. Do it for the childern’s sake, for fuck sake.

I’m right there with you. I miss the shows from my youth, yes they were a little violent but they got a point across. They shows today are just mind-numbing dumb.

I thought I’d get a lot of hater comments for this post because I talk about how kids should be growing up more rough or rigid, while society attempts to keep kids’ innocense intact for as long as possible, not noticing that Hannah Montana is the one corrupting the youth.

    So thanks for the comment.

    Good Post!!

This reminded me of my lil cousin. She’s about 6 and she’s only allowed to watch the disney channel (bc telatoon is too xrated)..so one day i was babysitting her and i saw that she was dancing around and singing..i noticed she lifted her shirt to look like a tube top. So I asked her why she was doing that…her reply was “because I want to be pretty like hannah montana”…So then I had to explain to her that she doesn’t need to be dancing around half naked in order to feel pretty..and that she was pretty. At that moment I realized that these children are growing up waay too fast..and even the disney channel isn’t the best station for them to watch. On the surface these shows look all cute and innocent but the message they sending out to kids don’t allow them to be kids.

Btw..I remember Tom & Jerry..loved that show as a kid!!! I remember waking up early saturday mornings to watch all those cartoons..damn the cartoons in the 90’s were the best. Now there really isn’t no descent cartoons on TV.

Yes, thank you that’s exactly my point. Good real-life example.

I used to live for those Saturday mornings in the 90’s. Would get up nice and early and watch the greatest cartoons ever drawn. (also, not that computerized garbage. They even computerized Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. Computerized Pluto! Nooo!)

I 150% agree with you here. Even the cartoons that are still running are sooooo much different than they used to be. TOM AND JERRY! it was amazing ,and what about all those looney toons cartoons, has anybody seen those lately? They are so lame. I remember roadrunner and coyote constantly trying to blow eachother up, tom and jerry using things like anvils and hammers not being friends.. lol.. WOW. Even the power rangers are different now, the are soo much.. “softer” i dont know, but i do see a direct relation between the way kids tip toe around ever situation now compared to me or my friends growing up. Kids are afraid to even get dirty and do stupid things, lol i loved being stupid. maybe its just me i dont know.

Aye aye, it used to be all about that young shit, that dumb shit. Now it’s all about that soft shit, that money shit. I hope you know what I mean by that. Well if you don’t, then it’s alright too. At least you agree with me 150% lol

I absolutely agree, but from a different angle. These shows create expectations for kids that are completely false. They live very privileged lives that only a tiny few can afford and promote a consumer lifestyle of people living beyond their means.

    Ahhhh Tom & Jerry.
    Bring back the classics!!!!
Bill Nye the Science Guy was a definite favorite.
I played outside as a kid and if I watched TV, I watched Cartoon Network.
HAHAHA I still do for Adult Swim.
I am on the younger side myself (almost 19) and I definitely agree.
    I spent my childhood wanting to be an adult and now that I am one;
I will do anything to go back to my childhood.
I read a study that gender roles are too seperated and that little girls must have this princess demeanor and those attitudes inhibit them from succeeding in math and science because society tells little girls that they will marry a prince and that math and science is a subject that should be studied by males.

You Disney Channel haters are closed-minded and deluded. Since when is Disney Channel the Devil? It has NOTHING to do with Satan.

Are you trying to influence people into hating Disney? Boy, how bigoted you are. If you don’t like Disney, THEN IGNORE IT!!!

I’ll only tell you this once: There will always be people, places, and things you dislike in this world. And you can’t get rid of all of them.

I’m warning you that if you terrorize Disney and its fans, they’ll get back at you.

Sure, Disney isn’t perfect. Sure, I don’t agree with everything about that company. But they’re no reason to destroy it.

Do you you want to risk going to jail for destroying that place?
